Testimonials
I hired Andres in 2021 to strengthen the team of digital education specialists at EPFL's Center Excellence in Africa. We were putting together the Digital Education Masterclass modules at the time, starting from a clean sheet. Andres' contributions to the project were invaluable.
He took the lead in managing and developing the Open edX e-learning platform and also set up equivalent solutions in Moodle for the needs of African universities. Andres contributed equally in the development of specific modules of the Masterclass and in the animation of online sessions.
He also spent several months tutoring dozens of faculty members from partner African universities during their learning journey.
Andres’ technical and computer science skills, combined with his deep understanding of instructional design for e-learning, were a real asset to our team.
I’m sure he will be just as valuable in any demanding environment, whether in an academic or business setting.
We worked with Andres on a project focused on the development and implementation of training systems in areas with low internet connectivity.
I highly recommend him. His skills, knowledge, and work ethic allowed him to manage all aspects of his work autonomously and extremely efficiently. Furthermore, his social and personal skills greatly contributed to the quality of the team's work on this project.
Among Andres' many qualities, I would like to highlight: his self-discipline, professionalism, punctuality, his drive to always give his best, and his ability to work as part of a team!
I worked with Andrés for almost 3 years, and I can only recommend him!! Serious, efficient, proactive, he is also highly versatile in terms of mastering technologies and programming languages.
Never short of ideas and gifted with excellent analytical skills, Andrés always finds THE right solution and doesn’t stop until it’s done!
He combines these "technical" skills with the profile of an instructional engineer, which is quite rare...
Andrés is also, and this is not insignificant, an excellent colleague, friendly, cheerful, and always calm 🙂
I had the pleasure of working with Andrés for nearly three years and highly recommend him for any technical role related to e-Learning and LMSs (e.g. EdX and Moodle).
Andrés excels at systematising processes and solving problems—whether by developing custom codes or devising innovative solutions. His expertise extends beyond technical skills to include instructional design, making him a versatile asset.
What sets Andrés apart is his user-centric approach. He designs solutions that are accessible to those with limited programming expertise, ensuring that end users can easily adopt and benefit from his innovations.
His rapid mastery of EdX, transitioning from a beginner to the most knowledgeable person I know on the platform, speaks to his dedication and capability.
Andrés is proactive, results-oriented, efficient, and reliable. His positive attitude and collaborative spirit make him a great colleague and a pleasure to work with. Any employer would be fortunate to have him on their team.
I highly recommend Andrés Gomez, with whom I had the pleasure of working on a project to bring e-learning to areas with limited internet connectivity.
He is an expert in creating effective, pedagogically sound e-learning supports and is always striving to improve his skills.
In addition to his e-learning expertise, Andrés also contributed significantly to a project where he scripted a CRM system in Odoo. His technical skills, hard work, and dedication were crucial to our success.
Andrés is not only a talented professional but also a fantastic team player and great to work with. He consistently brings a positive attitude and strong collaborative spirit to every project.
